id it a Windows PC/Laptop? If so have your tried running Task Manager to see what else is using resources?

Hi all

Switched over from Sky around 3/4 months ago.

I work from home, so a reliable internet connection is essential, both download and upload. The download speed is find (over 100mbps) but the upload is dreadful. Its 0.31 mbps.

EE have sent out a new modem, engineers have been out and the connection to the house has been deemed fine. Its the router talking to my machine thats the issue.

If I manually disconnect and reconnect, the upload speed goes up to 28mbps, which is great. Problem is, that this reverts back to 0.2 to 0.3 frequently during the course of the day. I've asked elsewhere and have removed ASUS software and far more techy people than me have looked at it and cant solve it.

Its clearly capable of doing whats needed, but seems to want to revert back to poor upload speeds - which is a pain. Im constantly re- checking Speedtest to see if the connection is good or not.

Its a wireless connection - we dont think that anything else is interferring. I've "hard wired" the laptop to the router, with the same issues.

It feels like a compatibility issue, but Im at a loss now what to do. I thought it might be when the computer goes into "sleep mode" - so have removed that option, but its still happening.

Any ideas, kind people?
