Slow speeds

Getting 1.6gps to hub but speeds to all my gear both hard wired and WiFi don’t even come close to the 1.3gps minimum speed guarantee but when I was on BT full fibre 900 I was getting just over the 900 mbps to my Xbox, ps5 etc now that I’ve changed packages to EE full works I’m not getting any increase in speeds anyone have any ideas on how to fix this

@MDW7 The higher speeds are all dependant on how good your device equipment is, so you have now found your first stumbling block, the equipment would all have to be changed out at a considerable expense to you, and as yet your gaming side is not able to be done so. 900mb/s is were you are at but you do still have the extra overhead when needed.

All recent equipment - Xbox series X - PS5 - 10th gen iPad and iPhone 13 Pro as I said on the 900 mbps package I was on I was always exceeding that speed - getting around 900 - 930 mbps new service and I’m not seeing any difference in speed if what you said is the case then what’s the point of the 1.6gbps service if your only getting that to the hub and not any connected equipment when EE stated the minimum speed I would see is 1.3gbps ?????

@MDW7 You are getting the minimum speed delivered to the Router, you are just not getting it to the Device because that cannot go fast enough to get the higher speed, think iphone wise you need to go up a model but not an apple user. The specs are the specs your gear is just not good enough. You need to go find out about your apple devices, but copy of extract below so not sure were they are yet.

@MDW7 Not in the slightest! Trying to give you the informed information that you need, Networking is a shared resource and 2 devices going at the same time can and will saturate your speed, you just struggle to get the single device above what you have set your expectation on.

answer this then how come my Xbox is connecting AND showing dl speeds of over 1.1gbps on my neighbours VM broadband (just connected my Xbox to his internet by eithernet cable)

Still on Fibre 900 here. I’m not going to add to my pot of EE aggravations by pursuing 1.6 just now, even if they’d sell me it.

But on the kit side, just speedtested ours in the app and get 735meg over WiFi to a venerable basic iPhone13. I’m happy with that.

Every day a schoolday. On none of the other stuff I'm on does it operate like that. I suppose mine is showing to me only bcs it's in my post. Ah well. Thanks for explaining.

@Profile closed When you are on the main post screen, where you see Latest Photos in Broadband & Landline if you can view the pic snapshot there then it will be up in the OP posting, also lets you look at all the pics posted.👍

Approval also helps block anything that may be out on the Internet should it not be desired, so if careful when you post a pic up to get through the filters if done to the satisfaction you can get it through instantly.

@Profile closed Your speeds are pretty much up there, and no way of also knowing the other fudge factor for anything background activity wise, that's why suggested, turn everything off which is not always possible, but if you know your other wireless gear is working fine, then you can allow that to slip a little.

@MDW7 If you believe that you have a problem then take it up with EE CS regarding your connection speed, your posted pictures do not show anything of relevance.
