      <description>&lt;P&gt;When I switch on a device with a wired connection to my router (desktop or TV) there is a delay of several seconds before a connection is established.&amp;nbsp; Reliability and speed are excellent when connected but I did not experience this lag when I was previously with BT.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Cana anyone shed any light on this?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;The Smart Hub 2 definitely established a wired connection a lot faster to my PC. than my current Smart Hub Plus, it's mostly like a firmware issue just needs tuning.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I have the same problem with the new EE hub. It takes up to a minute to make the ethernet connection after wake from sleep.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;BT SH2 was immediate.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Did you get anywhere with this? I have the same thing happening on the smart hub plus, with wired connections taking anywhere up to 60 seconds to negotiate an active connection.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>No, but my wired connections (desktop PC and a couple of TVs) only take 10&lt;BR /&gt;to 15 seconds to connect so it's not too bothersome.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;With my previous BT router connection appeared to be virtually&lt;BR /&gt;instantaneous.</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I realised that it was in another thread on the same subject that I mentioned the WiFi situation.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;For me, with all hubs over many years prior to switching to EE from BT, all connections whether WiFi or Ethernet were instantaneous on return from sleep, etc.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;With the EE Smart Hub and Pro Hub, the Wi-Fi is still instantaneous, but the Ethernet connection takes around 20-25 seconds to activate.&amp;nbsp; Because of this, I have switched to the Wi-Fi connection and I hope this will be resolved at some point in the future.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

I’m sick of reporting it to EE. They sent an engineer out a few months ago, who said there is nothing he could do but recognised the problem. He also said that the new hub coming soon would probably fix it, but it didn’t as we now know.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I re-reported it after the engineer visit, but no one could care at EE. As far as they are concerned, they think it’s something unique to me.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

You are correct, it is unique to the + and Pro but do not have a Pro so cannot confirm that one.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
