Hello everyone, I live in a basement flat in Bristol BS8, where the mobile phone reception is very poor, I can't use mobile broadband, I can't find any broadband socket or open reach in my flat, only one socket like this, I don't know exactly what this is for and whether broadband can be installed. the landlord told me. all of the cables are linked from the top of her apartment. And the building is old.

If you where to have a phone etc, the landlord should surely be able to tell you what is available.

If it is live phone wise or can be connected by your ISP, then phone would need an ADSL filter applied to that socket. If you have a separate address for mail, then check out the BTW address checker below. USE the address box, fill in at least postcode and go from there.

BT Broadband
