Hi,

I’m looking to switch to EE broadband but they can’t get an engineer out until November 12th. My contract with virgin media ends on the 6th November. If I go ahead with the switch, will virgin keep my broadband active until (past my contract) until EE is set up? I work from home so can’t go without broadband for a week.

I’ve tried asking Virgin via their live chat service but the agent didn’t have a clue.

Thanks in advance.

@Oscar182 did you tell EE that you were currently with Virgin when you signed up/ordered with EE?

If so then a new process called One Touch Switch means that EE will have told when your new service is going to start and cancelled your Virgin service. https://www.ofcom.org.uk/phones-and-broadband/switching-provider/simpler-broadband-switching-is-here/

You should give customer services a call to see if they have done this. But if you have not told EE about Virgin, then the process @Chris_B has described applies.
