Wifi 7 but still no EE TV

So EE are now rolling out Wifi 7.

Shame they cannot fix the existing problems and allow you to have EE TV with their 1.6 Gbps Broadband. As a new customer I was hoping this would be fixed before Wifi 7 was made available.

I feel you. Recently moved from BT to EE. I only phoned up to swap as 1.6gbps was available at my address. Was quite disappointed when I found out because I have TV I couldn’t have it. Went with the 900mbps as it was what I had with BT in the hope I could upgrade as soon as it was available. I did get sent the new Smart Hub Pro though so I am at least ready when I can upgrade.

I sent EE a message via the App asking if it was possible to have 1.6 Gbps, Wifi 7 and EE TV. The response was yes and to call 150.

I did this and (after being on hold for 40 minutes) spoke to an advisor. They said it should be possible but when they tried they could not do it. So they spoke to their Manager who also said it was possible. Digging into it they tried and it still failed but as soon as they tried to add only Wifi 7 their system accepted this but not the 1.6 Gbps.

He was quiet open and said he did not know that you could not have 1.6 Gbps with EE TV but he would raise a ticket on this and someone will be in contact with me.

So I now have a Wifi 7 Router on its way to me so at least I am ready for when they can do it for me.

We are at least now in the same boat. Hopefully it won’t be too much longer before we can get the full speed with the TV.

don't want to took down Your hopes, but we listening lies like: "it will be available next month", "we will contact You once available" now for 12 months!!!

No, combination 1.6 Gbps and EE TV is NOT AVAILABLE for last 12 months, and last time, when someone from TV Dev team commented here on community forum it was: No, it's not available and we have not any timescale for it (September 2024)
