@Jonsey ah no, for DV you must have the EE router as the first connection to the ONT (fibre modem)..

Phones are either connected via the phone socket, via a DECT server in the router, or via an mains connected DECT adapter..

Or you could just migrate your Landline number to a Independant VOIP provider and use your router direct to the ONT.

Hello all

Currently in contract 24 month (FTTC 80/20 Broadband & landline) since April 2024.

Is it possible to upgrade broadband in contract to FTTP?

I know that I would loose the phone landline at the end of 2025 (landline switch off) anyway.

I would need to opt for 308 or 500 mbs service to get any benefit since I have a very reliable 69mbs download speed at the moment.

FTTP is available according to the checker and my neighbour has already had FTTP

Thanks again

Jonsey

@Jonsey you should be able to upgrade to FTTP and you could also tranfer your landline to Digital Voice if you fi want to keep it. You may well be asked to start a new 24 month contract.

Give Customer Services a call, no account access on here, and they should be able to sort it out for you.

Thanks for the info, I'll give customer services a ring.

Just a quick question, do you have to have the EE router for digital voice?

I know that mine has no green socket on the back (Asus Tuf AX6000), I thought I could connect the phone via WiFi using the EE digital phone or one of the WiFi adapters. Your thoughts?

Regards

Jonsey
