The 1571 answerphone service is not working on my EE analogue landline. Not possible to leave or retrieve messages. Spoke with customer services who insist on sending out an engineer, even though it is clearly not a physical landline issue. That will be a couple of days and an engineer visit wasted. How can I get hold of someone to properly report and diagnose the issue?

Are you on an old or new EE system if you know that answer?
