EE Smart Hub Slow Wireless Broadcast Speed

Hey

Does anyone else have a problem with the EE SmartHub 6 broadcasting as very slow wifi speeds?

We have 1.6GB installed however the standard settings for the EE hub broadcast the speed at no more than 400 MB however if I create a guest network then will broadcast at 800MB for some strange reason?

I have used a Asus Router we paid for and that was working pretty much perfectly with the 1.6GB fibre( and broadcasting wifi at 1,2GB approx) however its just fallen off the shelf and broke which is why I having to use the EE standard box.

Latest firmware installed and its still slow, slow slow...

Even the speed checked on the EE app says its slower than my guaranteed speed of 1.2GB.

Anyone offer some help?

@svsaunders With what device are you seeing the broadcast speed, mobile, laptop, etc. My EE smarthub+ locks in on the laptop at 1760/1760mb/s on normal wifi5 signal strength about 15' away from the router. mobile is about 800mb/s. Its all about the device/distance/what you are doing. Speed checker is unfortunate, i think of it as a chocolate fireguard, and same about the app, but that's my personal opinion.

And no matter what an Asus router is just better than the ISP supplied, they are not apples - apples, asus xt8 user myself.
