topic Smart hub plus in Broadband & Landline

I am coming to EE from Sky and I was wondering is the Smart hub plus easy to set up. Also my Sky broadband is connected to a landline so how does the EE Smart hub plus work with no landline needed. If it goes of fibre how do I connect it to that as I don't have a fibre cable in my flat?

Hi @PaulEdwards1973

Which EE BB plan have you ordered?

If it is Full Fibre a fibre line will be installed to your home leading to a ONT modem box fixed to the inside of an exterior wall. The router is connected to that.

If it is not Full Fibre the router is connected to the existing BT phone socket you were using with Sky.

@PaulEdwards1973 Read @Leanne_T link, do you know if fibre is available to you currently, if not then you just plug the EE router like your sky, into the same place, the phone you have becomes dead if you have one currently, if not you do not have to worry about it, was a sky requirement that physical landline was required, but you did not need to use the phone, EE is you are connected but you are NOT getting a landline for PHONE, its only for broadband, (setup is setup) it either goes smooth, or can be irksome if devices do not want to play ball, as you do not say what you have you can only try, get back on the forum if you have any problems. HTH👍

If you need to check, the EE email will have told you all your details what you getting etc. BT web can tell you also if fibre is available then you WILL be upgraded its VERY unlikely that would not happen if available. Link is below, use the address checker if no phone.

Info about the app, ios you will have to check with.

EE app release (Android) EE: Game, Home, Work & Learn - The EE Community

BT Broadband (btwholesale.com)
