Just got fibre 500 and download speed is only 95Mbps

Hi, as the title says, freshly-activated (17.09.24) fibre 500 but i'm only getting 95Mbps dl speed.

Does it take a while to fully activate or should i contact tech support ?

@blipblop you should be getting better speeds, there is no delay to activate speeds, but how are you testing and with what?

You would not be the first, nor the last to use a device or cable that is not capable of the higher speeds. Also is there anything else uploading whilst you are testing?

i'm testing on speedtest.net with a wired connection direct to the router.

I'm 58 and have been in IT for 36 years so nothing hogging the bandwidth while i'm testing 🙂

@blipblop New gear, not connected on 100Mb/s interface, nic or switch, If ethernet connected full rj45 connected.
