Bit dissapointed with EE, Openreach website says the 1.8 Gb connection is available to me in our area, so i contacted & asked if i could upgrade was told it was only for new customers taking the busiest home package, this seems extremely strange as i would be paying more than i am now, & am willing to pay the extra each month to upgrade to it, if this is the case then i will have to wait for when available from other isp"s & my contract expires & move on, seems a strange way to do business ?

I fell into that trap, when I tried to transfer from BT Halo 3, the price offered was for new customers only. I ended up taking the Full works from EE as that was the same speed as Halo 3, and incurred no exit fees. Whereas the 1.6Gb which I’d hoped to get would’ve incurred £800 exit fees.
It does seem a strange way to do business, even though they’re one & the same company.
Bribe the new customers & stick two fingers up at their loyal customers.

With the 1Gb/s it is fine....

Maybe in the future they will be available but not via EE at present!!!
