Hi all. I am curious as I am looking to go to sim only on 5th may. Never had direct debit set up before, and I am upgrading to sim only. If I setup the direct debit today (contract ends on 5th May) when will first payment come out...

If you are currently on pay-monthly, and changing to another pay-monthly plan, your monthly billing date will remain exactly as they are now.

Direct debits are usually set for approx 10 working days after your bill date.

As your billing date won't change when you upgrade, your DD will be taken on your next payment date approx. 5 days after your next billing date, be it for your current contract or your upgrade contract whichever is extant at the time.

Hi @BornOfTheGalaxy The information that I've found on our set up or change direct debit page is: We’ll send you confirmation that your Direct Debit has been set up. Your payment will be taken on or around 8 days after your bill date.

The payment may be taken after 8 days if the payment date falls on a weekend or a bank holiday.
