Why this percentage increase?

The £4 increase seemed like a lot percentage wise so I enquired via the chat

And that was agreed with and my bill was quoted as a less increase.

But, my bill has still increased from £23 to £27 despite what I was told.

@I33i3i3i : I would presume that you took out your contract after 10/04/24. Those contracts are no longer subject to a CPI+3.9% annual increase but to a flat fee pm.

The £4 pm increase for a handset plan is a contractual price change that occurs from 31st March each year - see Annual Price Changes on EE (2025)

Obviously the EE chat service found that as ridiculous as I did.

If you read the screenshots, they did say it would only increase by the smaller amount.

When did you start the new contract? If it wss after the date it'll be a £4 increase & the info from the chat will have been incorrect
