EE leavers discount

I worked for Orange / BT / EE from 1997-2023 but was on a business phone, so this just cancelled about 14 days after I left.

I’m now on a SIM only deal and was advised in the EE shop that I should probably still be eligible for a discount as a former employee, but they had no idea how to apply it.

Is anyone aware of an email address I can quickly send a message to, confirm eligibility & apply the discount?

Unfortunately they've not given you the correct advice there.

As far as I'm aware, if you had existing colleague discount on your personal plan (commonly referred to as Colleague Products), you're allowed to keep a Leavers Discount on subsequent upgrades until you leave the provider (EE) or change to an ineligible plan.

If you never had a Colleague Products plan, you would not be able to get this im afraid.

If you still know someone working for BT/EE, if you speak to them they may be able to supply you with a Family & Friends discount code however.

Welcome to the community.

I've had a look at the terms of the business phone, and when you left the company, it should have been moved to a SIM Only plan with leavers discount in place.

The discount would then work the same way as @Matt_124 mentioned above, and stay in place as long as you are with EE on a contract with an eligible plan.

If the discount was never applied after you left, the best option would be to give our billing guides a call, and they'll be able to look at the account and see how to get it chased for you as a missing discount.
