I appreciate the fact that you send me a text to remind me that my bill is due. However, I take quite a lot of antidepressants and anti anxiety medication, so even though you send me a message I forget very quickly that you've sent that message. In fact I can forget what date or day that it is most of the time! My universal credit goes in at the same date each month, but I honestly just forget that I have a bill to pay!! I'd truly appreciate it if you could please give me a little bit of leeway! Please believe me when I say that I set alarms on my phone, I leave notes for myself, but literally as soon as I stop the alarm or put the note in the recycling then I forget almost straight away!! I'd appreciate any help that you could give me

You may find a direct debit easier to manage, payments are automatically made each month.

Hi @Jenbowers

Welcome to the community.

I can see you've had some brilliant advice here.

If you set up a Direct Debit just after your Universal Credit is paid to you would mean that you wouldn't have to remember to pay. It would just automatically deduct from your bank.

If you're having trouble paying your current bill, I'd recommend following @XRaySpeX's advice and give our Customer Support team a call. They'll do their best to help you get it sorted.

Chris
