Get back old number

Hi, last year I got scammed and had my phone contract with EE cancelled. It had been reported as fraud by EE and I have been on a sim only ever since (not with EE), however my Whatsapp number is still the old number, that I no longer have a sim for. Is it possible to get my old number back? The one that i’m still using for Whatsapp, as i’m worried if I change it I may lose everything

If the contract was cancelled over 30 days ago, the number may have been recycled if this was last year.

To check if this would be possible, the best people to speak to are our mobile guides on 0800 956 6000 and select new/joining EE. They can check for the account and see if the number would still be available.
