topic In contract but can i Upgrade to a cheaper package with EE One? in Contracts & Billing

I have both an:

EE Broadband package

EE Mobile contract (24 month SIM only until May 2025 that costs £40).

On the website it's saying I can upgrade my Mobile package for free. And when i click the SIM only option it gives me the option of a cheaper package. Specifically:

£37.50, but because of EE One (£20 discount) would only cost £17.50. It's also only a 1 month contract.

Can someone confirm that if i 'upgrade' to this it will replace my more expensive 24 month deal with this cheaper 1 month contract?

It doesn't say it, but since you can't normally terminate a contract early i'm concerned that this will add an extra SIM to my account and charge it on top of what i'm already paying.
