Hi Peeps,

Can anyone please tell me why I am charged £41 every month for EE Ess Unl Max £38?

I have no add ons & have unlimited calls, texts & data, so I'm confused.

Surely, if the plan is called EE Ess Unl Max £38, shouldn't I be charged £38? 🤔

@Sue1964 have you looked at your bill breakdown as it’ll show any out of allowance charges.
And EE price increase last April was 7.9 % £38 add 7.9.%. Is. £41.

Thankyou so much for your reply. Yes, I did check the bill breakdown, without success.

However, the price increase could well be the answer. Just be helpful if they could change the plan name accordingly to help confused individuals like me.

@Sue1964 They don’t change the tariff name as that’s what it was when you took out the contract. If they did that they’ll have to update millions of customers contract details.

Hi Chris, this is true but I meant on my invoice. They don't explain what you have explained & it would be helpful if somewhere, on my invoice, it was written.

@Sue1964 Again they’ll have to do this with every customer bill. while it might seem simple to do it’s actually going to be a very big IT expense/issue to put in to place. It’s also in the contract that you agreed too.

Maybe think twice before naming a tariff including its price. By omitting the price in the title, it would prevent confusing folk like me when the price is no longer relevant.

I've yet to find a utilities website that wouldn't benefit from being simplified.
