So I phoned customer service yesterday and a very helpful lady assured me they had removed the £50 service deposit

They told me it is removed and I'd only pay my normal contract bill

I've just checked my bill online and that charge is still showing , I'm going to be seriously annoyed if it gets taken particularly when it's a nonsense charge and I have been reliable informed it was removed

Shouldn't that charge not be showing ?

I also posted my number over yesterday but assume the 1 working day won't count as it was boxing day

Will the number port happen tomorrow instead?

Your existing bill will not be amended. You'll see the credit in your next bill.

No, tomorrow is a Sat., a non-working day. It'll be ported within 1 working day of you activating your EE SIM. The earliest it'll be done is Mon. 30th.

Port-ins are normally processed the following working day after the PAC is submitted, assuming that is done during the working day.

If you submitted your PAC on 26/12, that will be treated as submitted on 27/12 and port-in most likely set for 30/12

They said it will be 'removed' not a credit on next bill

They explicitly said my bill will just be the normal contract price not that I would need to still pay it and get a credit

And the number port reply makes total sense

@DantheSwan , the credit will mean that your bill will be less than suggested to you, as the £50 deposit will be credited to your account, you will not pay the £50 but it will be deducted from the amount you are paying for your contract, hope that makes sense.
