Hi , i am out of EE mobile contract 24 months, i did cancel the contract n was overpaying for 2 years . can i get money i overpaid for. I called EE regarding the situation they replied " no if you never contacted us to cancel or get another plan , there's nothing we can do to reimburse you with over running un cancelled contract. instead they put me on a 5gb essentials plan . sim £52 a month for 24 months contract , that's a proper pi.s take . i contacted them saying who in heaven's sake would get a plan like this 5gb a month unlimited texts n calls £52

Mobile contracts are not fixed-term ones that end on the anniversary, the logical consequence would be automatic disconnection on the same date.

All users that are approaching the end of their minimum term do receive a text message a few weeks prior, explaining the various options open to them.

I asked you how you cancelled, not whether you did as you say or not. If as EE stated " you never contacted us to cancel or get another plan" then you never cancelled & cannot be due any refund for the contract running on as is normal.

These mobile contracts don't just end, just the min. term expires. They are not fixed term contracts. After the min. term they just carry on at the same price on a rolling 30-days' notice basis until you explicitly cancel, upgrade or port your no. away. There will however be a 10% discount after 3 months.
