topic EE missed payment! in Contracts & Billing

Hi guys,

After being a long term customer for 13 years I think I have finally reached the end of my tether!

September 26th 2024, I took out an additional line and 2 x flex pay for iPhone 16 pro.

On 2nd October 2024, I paid £700 towards flex pay, in an attempt to pay the balance off quicker. Skip forward to 17th October 2024, my monthly bill was due for the phone line, as I changed DD details this failed, so on the same day I contact EE live chat and paid this manually. I asked if any flex pay payment was due to which they answered no.

I checked my flex pay account over the following weeks as I like to make additional payments, however it says all “PAID” and no payments are due, even though a DD did not come out on 17th October 2024 at the same time as my bill, which I thought was strange, however I believed it was because of my large lump sum payment which has negated the DD. it will also not let me pay manually on the website as it is greyed out as no payments are due.

Moving on to 14th November 2024, I receive an experian notification saying a “missed payment” will be added to my EE loan. As I am currently in the process of renewing my mortgage this caused me to message EE instantly. Again, spoke to a guide who said no payments have been missed, he spoke to flex pay and they said it is all up to date.

Where do I stand in getting this removed from my credit report? As this is causing me a huge amount of stress today. just from Experian, my credit score has dropped from 979 to 768 from this!
