I still use *.freeserve.co.uk@fs & its pwd as my BB PPPoE Username on my main router. I also have an alternative legacy PRODUCTIONHQNUNnnnnnn@fs BB Username which I never bother with. Like everyone else I can use instead bthomehub@btbroadband.com which I use on a back-up router.

This is really just idle curiosity rather than anything else.

I have been with 'EE' for my whole online time, starting from Freeserve dial-up, through the various Oranges, Wanadoos, T-Mobiles, etc., and so my username still has 'freeserve' in it. I do occasionally get better broadband offers but usually don't take them for the sake of a pound or two, as I think it is a bit of a shame to lose it. However, a company has just laid fibre in my village, so the temptation is there.

So, is there any data on how many freeserve accounts still exist ?
