Thanks for the reply, sorry, I already deleted a message.

I had no debts. Let's think logically, if we have debts then EE does not accept porting the number until we pay off the debts.

Hi. My 24-month contract is about to expire. I no longer want to continue with the contract. What should I do, so that the month of the plan is not renewed the next day? Or let's assume that the contract expires on 11/10/2024, and if I want to switch to another network, on which day can I carry out the portability of the number to another network, so that I don't have any problems like fines with EE? Thank you

You don't have a fixed term contract that ends on a particular date, the logical extension of that is that your phone would be automatically disconnected.

You have a rolling contract with a minimum term - that is coming to end, but you need to give 30days notice of cancellation if you want to disconnect. That applies regardless of whether you are inside your minimum term or outside of it.

You can contact EE-CS on 150 to give that 30days notice.

But if you wish to port your no. to another network using a PAC, you don't need to give 30 days notice as long as the port takes place on your min. term date or later. Best to give PAC to new network in last few days of your contract term so you have little or no overlap.

Hi @vitiok70

If you do wish to take your number with you, you'll need to get a PAC, as @XRaySpeX mentioned.

You can get the PAC by texting PAC to 65075 and you'll get a text back with the code and if there are any charges for terminating. The PAC is valid for 30 days to give to a new provider.

The text option would only work if you have one number. If there is more than one number you can request the PAC in your EE online account or by calling us on 150.

There is more information on our What is a PAC code page.

Hello, regarding the topic we discussed for some time. Already yesterday I ported the number with the help of the PAC code, everything was completed in a few hours. The sim card of the new network with the ported number was activated, after some time the EE sim card was deactivated. Everything is fine. However, today I entered my personal EE account on the web page, out of curiosity. And I was surprised that, at the point of payment, I found that I had to pay £0.91 until November 15. What is the reason, only the portal was carried out on the last day of the 24-month contract with EE, and in this case no fee is applied. I didn't have leftovers either. Who can explain to me, what is happening? Thank you

Good morning @vitiok70.

Welcome back to the Community 😊

Just as a quick reminder you don't need to reply separately to multiple people with the same post, everyone that reads these forums will be able to see it, and if you want to get the attention of multiple users in a post you can use the @ option to tag them.

We don't have access to your account or bills to directly look into this charge, but there are a couple of different reasons that this charge is showing for you.

EE bills are always produced for the month going ahead, so if we didn't know you were intending to port out part-way into your billing cycle, you'd still see a normal month's charges.

Anything we'd charged you beyond the official contract end date would then be refunded back to you, though.

There is also a chance that you could have been charged for an out of allowance call / message during your last month with us too.

If you reach out to our customer care team, they'll be able to check your current bill and advise exactly what is going on here.

Thanks @vitiok70.

Don't worry, this isn't anything to do with debt, but you can still run up charges in the last couple of days before porting out, and normal charges wouldn't prevent you from switching.

These would just be applied to your final bill as I indicated.

So we can be 100% sure though, you're definitely best off getting in touch with our team so they can say for sure.
