topic Upgrade - credit checked? in Contracts & Billing

Hi all - I have been an EE customer for 20 years or so with 4 phones (family) , an Ipad and watch on account - prob around £320 per month all in. Have never missed a payment

My business I own had a rough time the other year post Covid and it left my credit file in a mess which will be 7 years to get sorted. Things are fine now but I'm concerned when I come to upgrading the phones this time round I will get knocked back as I am unlikely to get credit on anything for a while. My last upgrade was just after this but it was on the old process and not this new airtime way of doing it and went straight through

Can anyone advise what they think would happen when I speak about an upgrade - I don't to go through the process and A/ be knocked back and B/ affect my file further

Thanks for any advice

Hi @craigdh,

Welcome to the Community!

We don't want to cause you any concern with your credit, so I'd recommend giving our team a call, and they will be able to take a look into the upgrade options with you, and confirm if we can upgrade you without completing a new check.
