Welcome to the community.

You wouldn't be able to change the plan to a lower data one once the contract has started, unless you were returning within the first 14 days.

Nearly all of our plans do include unlimited data as standard now though, so if you did return and start again, the choice of lower data plans is limited.

When was it you started the contract?

If you ordered online or over the phone, you would be able to request a return and start again with a new plan.

If the order was taken was placed in an EE store, you'd not be able to return.

I would recommend having a look at the offers in our online shop before requesting anything to make sure that the offers are what you are looking for as the ones with fixed data allowances are just 25GB Essentials Plan and 5GB No Frills.
