If you wish to remain on SIM-only, then you need to purchase your chosen phone SIM-free from a retailer of your choice,

If you purchase the phone as an upgrade from EE, it will come with a new plan.

Hi I'm wanting to upgrade my phone and get the Pixel 9 but want to keep my current sim only all rounder plan, rather than going for a new plan. It's got another 12 months on the contract.

Reason being, my current sim only play is so so much better value compared to the new 'upgraded' airtime plans currently available. My current plan is £33 per month, 200GB data (which is more than enough) and comes with 1 inclusive extra, but I have the choice of any inclusive extra. I currently use it for TNT/BT Sport. If I was to 'upgrade' to a new plan with a phone, to get the equivalent inclusive extra deal I'm currently on, it jumps up to £45. Which is quite outrageous...

That being said, if I take out a new device and airtime plan, the cost of the Pixel 9 (256GB) is only £647 compared to the current RRP of £899.

Is there any way to keep my current airtime sim only plan and take advantage of the lower cost of the device?
