Student discount code - Not available anymore?

I am currently on a 24 month contract for my iPhone 15 Pro Max - I had redeemed a student code for 20% discount when I upgraded and have been receiving the discount since.

When I was reading the EE website now, I do not find the option to avail a 20% discount anymore under Student beans but see other offers for Sim-only plans and Broadband.

Did EE stop doing the discount? If I upgrade to the 16 Pro Max this weekend, will I be losing out on the student discount?

Seems so as I've also been receiving a Student Discount for years now, but like you, Student Beans offers have changed.
Strangely it's still offered to Key Workers and Teachers? But not Students, because obviously we have loads of money at our disposal and if we want to have nice things like the latest iPhones then we should use our infinite source of money and pay full rate for them.

Unfortunately, corporate greed strikes again. These Muli-Millionaire shareholders must need every penny, the poor souls.

Upon upgrading you will 100% lose your discount, It was good while it lasted I guess...

Our Student Discount is only available to new customers, so if you have already used this then you would be ineligible to use this again, moving forward.

Can I check if the NHS worker discounts are applicable for the new iPhone plans? I only see "Flex plans" and "12/24 month sim only" plans under the terms.

@Equil And yet you think a £1000+ device is a must have product for a student. Don’t get me wrong it’s totally up to you on what you spend your “limited” money on but a £1000+ phone surely shouldn’t be a top priority

I Didn't say a '£1000+ device' is a must-have did I? I'm lucky enough to be in a position where I can afford it whether the 20% Discount is applied or not, but it certainly helps if it is and makes things a great deal easier. So it baffles me as to why EE decided to revoke it apart from blatantly obvious penny-pinching (which seems to be an overall theme this year with corporate Britain)

However, not everyone can say that can they? For a lot of Students, the lack of a 20% Discount may be a deal breaker and will now position such a phone out of their reach.

Your comment insinuates that Students are undeserving of such things simply because they are students.
Are we not allowed to have nice things as well? I'm assuming you're one of those who believes we should just be happy that we at least have money to feed ourselves because 'we're just students'.
And not to sound petty, but most Students being 18-25 will more than likely make more use of the features (especially the Pro camera features) that said device provides versus those who are older and only use it for web browsing and Facebook.

And yes, students do have 'limited' money so I don't know why you seemed to place a degree of sarcasm in your comment in regards to this. Are you aware of how little the government supports younger generations in this country? or is your head buried in the sand like most people over the age of 40?

Maybe rather than pick holes in my comment in an effort to lick the boot of Big Corpo, you should agree that this was another anti-consumer move made by EE.
It's thinking like yours that makes you part of the problem mate.

You can use the NHS discount on our Flex plans @ProGirish24, and these plans will be available with the new iPhone release 🙂

Thats getting on for borderline age discrimination. You’re basically saying there that young people should have the newest best product and older people shouldn’t.

But if you want to base it on that on Thursday Friday, I took in the region off 100 photos for work purposes and no I don’t use facebook so basically I’ve just proved you wrong oh and yes I’ve over 40. What a phone can actually do or provide does it mean you’re deserving of a discount for that phone. Young people thinking I suppose. Lol

I must admit the perk codes are fantastic to add as they save a heck of an amount especially during the ridiculous amount they put on us consumers during the inflation increase, I agree and disagree with some comments, I do believe as students you really shouldn’t need the latest up to date handset, especially the likes of the galaxy fold 6, uni is difficult and expensive, may I also include Apple offer a discount on purchases for students, you could possibly get a sim only on EE and a handset from Apple? Upgrading should be taken seriously and remember your stuck with that contract for 24m, buying the best handset and sim plan your looking easy at over £100 but choosing a pre owned device potentially knocking hundreds of a device that’s 2 years old, when you’ve passed your courses, in a decent job with no university debt you’ll be thanking the advice given to you, and you’ll get an EE top of the range phone then and be more grateful you worked extra hard for it, also EE have options if you get into financial difficulties, they can offer a 50% line rental reduction for a limited amount of time etc so if this is something that’s happening or likely to happen contact EE immediately don’t let the bills pile up and then call as they won’t be able to help, I do implore you to look at the 36 monthly flex play options also they can bring the prices down a fair bit.

just something to note, a YTer done a field test on a iPhone 14 Pro Max v IPhone 15 Pro max and the iPhone 14 won so not every brand new phone is worth it sometimes a phone that’s older is a better option and EE do offer sim free phones in the shopn
