Hello.
I had the 6 months free Apple TV that I then continued and the first bill is for 2 months worth £17.98 (2x £8.99)

why is this ?

I seem to have received the same issue as well with 2 payments for Apple TV under the same phone number:

£8.70
Apple TV+
£8.99

Thanks for coming to the community.

It may well be a part month charge where it has started charging during the last bill month, meaning the first one is a part charge and the second one is for the month ahead, but if you get in touch with our billing guides they can check your account to see what is happening.
