Or port its no. to another provider.

@Chris_B : What happens when you have a traditional device contract with EE that has seen out its min. term & you port its no away? Does that cancel the whole contract or, if not, what's left with EE?

It’ll terminate the contract and account will be closed, any remaining bills will be taken on the billing date ie out of allowance charges. And if any add to plan items on are on the account will be billed to pay off that item if I remember correctly.

But in his case it looks like it’s part of a multi line account so the account stays open for the other lines and just this one line is terminated.

@XRaySpeX Flex plans are a bit different more so if you take the device contact over 36 months. Before 24 months of the airtime contact if you terminate that early then you’ll need to pay off the device contract also but after the airtime contract has reached its minimum term you can terminate the airtime contract go sim only and continue paying for the device contract for the remaining 12 months or just pay it off if you choose then can then upgrade to a new device. You can even change networks and still pay for the device contract over the remaining 12 months.

Some of the EE customer services seem to think you have to continue paying for the airtime also after the 24 months are up for it and you can not go sim only or change network without paying off the device contract also. Some of them don’t really understand it yet and haven’t read the T&Cs of a flex tariff.
