Out of contract and still paying full price?

If I am out of contract why am I still paying full price. Part of that payment was for the phone which is now paid off. I am sure a law was brought out to stop phone companies doing this.

Hi @ChristinaRW0710 The older contracts didn't split airtime and handset so you just pay one price. Once you were out of minimum term you just keep paying. You should be aware of your contract terms and act accordingly?

OFCOM did force networks to remind users when they were out of contract, and then EE give a 10% discount three months later, but that's it.

Did EE tell you that you were out of your minimum term and suggest you look at your options?

You have one monthly payment covering all your services, which was never split out to individual element - you agreed to pay this for at least the duration of your minimum term.

You should have receieved a text message towards the end of your minimum term advising of your numerous options. One of those would have been to migrate to a SIM-only plan. The choice has to be the account holders, not EE.

You can still do this, and it would take effect from the day you request it.
