Your charges are associated with your mobile number, not with an individual SIM. Your existing SIM is blocked when reported lost/stolen, and a replacement SIM issued that is tied to your existing number.

Hi Chris,

If you are on a SIM only contract and lose your phone, will the new phone that you buy need to have a different phone number? Also will you need to keep paying on the contract for the previous SIM and also take out and pay on a new contract for the new SIM?

Hello @JackieB11.

If you loose your SIM you can request a replacement SIM over the phone, online or by visiting your local EE Store with photo ID.

The replacement SIM will have the same number once activated.

Katie 🙂

Thanks Katie. If I lost a SIM would I still need to pay for it to the end of the contract as well as paying again for the new SIM?
