What date did ee stop decreasing the contract price after paying off handset

Hi I’ve been with ee many years and in the past when my contract ended and my handset was paid off ee automatically reduced the price of my contract to a sim only plan however now they keep the price the same and put you on a monthly rolling contract. I’d just like to know what date this changed?

@Carloldham it’s always been like that. EE never reduced your contract unless you upgraded to a sim only contract.

Only in the last few months have EE release a tariff called flex pay where your phone and tariff are billed separately so when the device is paid off your only left with the tariff cost.
