hi .. I am in the same position..expected the contract to come to a natural end...automatically renewed for 24 months

Your contract won't have automatically renewed for 24 months. At the end of your contract it just switches to a 30 day rolling contract that your can give notice to cancel at any time.

You need to give 30 days notice. Use Skype and over WiFi and the number in my signature to call EE.
