topic 150 failing in Contracts & Billing

I recently had to use a premium number to get through to EE as 150 wasn't working. I had to call because EE had messed up my order, so not just calling for the joy of speaking to CS. The only number I could find on-line was a premium number and now I have been charged £83 just for the pleasure of sorting my order. Is there anyway to claim these charges back? EE CS are useless, has anyone else had similar issues?

It sounds like you've fallen foul of a Google search scam, whereby third parties pay for particular links to appear at the top of search results.

That third party sets up a premium-rate number which redirects to a company's standard-rate line, their number is listed at the top of a Google search - victims then call the first number on said search, the company redirects the call to the standard-rate line and takes the call charges as profit.

EE's standard rate numbers are listed at https://ee.co.uk/contact-ee
