My contract ended on 03/09.
what happens next? What happens now if I don’t want to upgrade

@Denisef90 : These mobile contracts don't just end, just the min. term expires. They are not fixed term contracts. After the min. term they just carry on at the same price on a rolling 30-days' notice basis until you explicitly cancel, upgrade or port your no. away. There will however be a 10% discount after 3 months.

To add, and to phrase Xray's reply differently, if you do nothing - nothing changes and your mobile service & bills will continue as they are now.

There is no compulsion to upgrade phones unless you want to - another option is to convert your device-based plan into a SIM-only plan thus reducing your monthly cost.
