Really? Why blame EE? Being chased by debt collectors & the marring of your credit history was all down to you by refusing to settle up the remainder of your contract with the correct amount but instead offering a greatly reduced rate which EE couldn't possibly accept.

You'll get no joy from OFCOM who anyway do not handle individual complaints & particularly contractual disputes.

Account number: ******

Cancelled an iPad contract with EE back in February of this year, and made multiple offers to pay off the remainder of my contract but at a reduced monthly payment. Refused by EE and told to wait 28 days until my contract was actually cancelled, and the debt passed onto the collections department. One month later I am contacted by the collections department asking for payment. I make another attempt with EE to make a monthly offer to pay off my debt. Refused again and told to wait until I am contacted by an external debt recovery agency. Now I recieve a letter from Moorcroft Debt Recovery Services demanding the full payment plus an extra £58 admin charge. Thanks to EE and of no fault of my own, my credit rating has a big red mark placed on it because this debt is now in the hands of a debt collection agency. Have contacted my local Citizens Advice, and in the process of reporting this disgusting treatment by EE to OFCOM.

For your information: It wasn't that EE had refused the offers, they had refused to make up a paymant plan altogether. I didn't actually mention any specific ammount with them. I cancelled a contract with them because of "Financial Reasons" of which are none of your business. Thanks.

Mr xxxx x. xxx

Hi @tarantulaman2

I am sorry to hear this has happened, to discuss this further I would suggest contacting our customer care team again who can access the account and see if they can help.

Thanks.
