topic What is the benefit of a contract rather than PAYG (SIM only)? in Contracts & Billing

It seems to me that with the monthly PAYG, you get so much more value for money, and I can't see any benefits that a contract would provide you.
I am planning to buy an apple watch which would require a monthly contract. However, having a monthly contract would increase my bills significantly...

As such, can anyone share with me the benefits of contracts that PAYG do not provide?

Hi @fluffducks

Are you looking at a SIM only plan, or a plan that includes a phone?

One of the main benefits of a 24 month plan is that you spread the cost of the phone over 24 months rather than pay for it outright.

I already have a phone that I'm not planning to change for a couple of years so unfortunately that doesn't benefit me 🙁 are there any other benefits?
