I have just had an email stating my bill will be going up 14.4%, I think this is a rip off as the increase is supposed.to.follow interest rates, they have gone up by 10%,if you increase my bill by 14.4% I will be cancelling my direct debit

There's no "supposed to follow interest rates". It's in the T&C's you signed up to - see Mobile CPI plus price changes. Cancelling your DD doesn't cancel your obligation but puts you at risk of marring your credit history & nasty letters from debt collectors as you'll still be owing EE money.

Everybody on contract has been / will be getting them in next few weeks.

@Blank_disk , just to add, all networks are doing the same, not just EE,. Just remember if you get a bad credit rating, you will have greater problems, if wanting to move house, even if it is a rented property, you are highly unlikely to get any credit cards or loans, etc.

If you watched the Martin Lewis show, you would have known about this, as he mentioned it some time ago.

If you cancel your direct debit you may find the bailiffs at your door, if EE cannot get the payments you owe and for breaking your contract if you have not completed your minimum term.

It will affect your credit score for anything that you try and get on credit and it’ll sit there for 3 years. Unfortunately your contract is legal and you agreed to that contract and it’s T&Cs.

Although I agree we all have agreed to this and in the past I have defended EE in this but right now I can't.

14.4% is an absurd amount to increase by. We are all living in a crisis a the moment where everything is going up but EE is increasing it even more than the inflation rises. EE could be the one to buck the trend and only do the 10.5% but they just see profits ahead of loyalty.

I can't log into MyEE (yes I know I am on the community but everytime I go to MyEE it just states successfully logged out and yes I have cleared cookies etc tried a new browser) I will be looking to other networks soon as my wifes Pixel contract ends soon and I am already out of contract on my Sim only and left it because the upgrades were worse off than my current sim only.
