Hello,

You're totally right, I'm sick of it too, I've been waking up at 5am for 16 years, going to work, and somehow my wages doesn't increase annually by inflation. First was corona virus, now it's inflation. Everyone is charging their prices for inflation. I'm not going to pay £60 for 4gb data and a 2 year old phone. I hope a lot of people will cancel their contracts and open their eyes that they are puppets in this whole circus and greed to earn more for less. Nothing change with my EE signal where I live in 7 years, still same, one bar. Nope..I'm not living in middle of nowhere.

Remember karma will return to you greedy EE.

But you know this right? Doesn’t matter that you have a two year old device you contract term is 24 months and you are bound by the T&Cs of that contract during this term. This is a good reason to go sim only for 12 months as soon as possible if your device ok still.

I think what people here agreeing with EE forget is the fact that only existing customers get punished. I had a 3 or so year plan that started at 78 quid ... after price increase and price increase I ended up paying 126 / month. Now came the 14.4% increase ... Another 18 quid ... Which effectively means my Unlimited data plan has increased by 100% over 3 years ... The same plan that costs now 18 quid or something ... And yes, I had an iphone on top of that by I also made a 1-off payment of over 300 quid so that can't be it (by itself).

So yes, every provider does that and yes, every contract says CPI + 3.9% - but just like other companies that try to help their customers, here at EE (well frankly with every provider) long standing customers get punished because guess what - even if you paid off your phone - EE does NOT contact you and says 'oi, you could have a MUCH cheaper contract now'. Yes you should be grown up enough to know all this but I am pretty sure some people just cannot comprehend contracts and the guys selling the contracts in the shops are utter shameless and useless.

The ONLY solution ? Don't have contracts .... simple solution ... In fact, I literally just cancelled four lines, two of which were still in contract but overall it was cheaper to just dump them, pay the contract up and don't get the 14.4% slapped into my face.

If you do sign up for 12 months make sure it aligns with the annual increases in April or really just get rolling monthly.

Also worth checking is if you ACTUALLY use the data you pay for ... my example is the best example once again - I pay for unlimited but actually only ever use data because I can - not because I need to and I use around 3GB actually on average.

Hello @Gomjaba2023

Be smarter than others and don't take the phone from the EE and buy directly from the manufacturer. In this case an iPhone. In Apple 14 pro max 128gb costs £35 per month if you trade in your old phone, the price is depends of the model you have. I found unlimited data online for £20 a month. £35+£20=£55. Not £70 or more.

EE for my Galaxy S22 Ultra offers me a discount of £14 a month if I want upgrade. After two years of contract, that's £336 for my phone. in Samsung on their website they offer me £610 so I'm asking EE where has £274 gone?
