&lt;P&gt;Sorry you are unable to transfer a pay monthly number to another contract with us.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;You can request to cancel the old contract by calling us on 150.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I recently opened a new account, thinking that I would be able to close the old one whilst retaining the old number with the new account. This has proved to be very difficult - in fact, impossible. Is there any way of transferring old numbers to new accounts?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;You should've done an &lt;STRONG&gt;upgrade&lt;/STRONG&gt; rather taking out a new contract &amp;amp; you would've got exactly what you want.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;EE won't port nos between its contracts. So you need to 1st port your existing no to another network's PAYG using a PAC from EE &amp;amp; then in reverse port it back to your new contract. This will also have the effect of cancelling your old contract.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You could alternatively move your old contract to PAYG with 30 days notice &amp;amp; then ask EE to transfer the no to your new contract.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

They will be able to transfer your old number to the new contract. I did have almost similar issue and contacted social media team via facebook and the gentleman was very supportive and he did that. Thank you.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;The advice in the previous post is not accurate.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Changing to a new device while keeping your existing number is classed as an upgrade, and if you purchase your chosen new phone as an upgrade, you will keep your existing number as a matter of course - as explained by xrayspex.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;If you purchase a new phone as a new connection, then it's just that - with a new number. Calling EE CS in the expectation of them just transferring your number across is likely to end with disappointment.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;One issue with attempting this is that you have committed to a 24month minimum term with your new contract, that can't simply be written off.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
