topic Leaving in Contracts & Billing

My contract runs out in 38 days. I called 150 to inform EE of my intention to end contract at the end of this period. The phone operator I spoke to informed me I should call on the last day of my contract and ask for same day cancellation.

However the ee website states I must give 30-45 days notice or I'll continue paying the same amount for another month. When I asked for the operators name, they hung up on me. What should I do?

You are correct to understand that 30days notice needs to be given, there may be an option to post-date that upto 15days.

The first agent you spoke to was incorrect.

You must give notice. Call them 30 days before the contract term is up.
