Hi. Upgrade is due, I have looked at upgrading my Samsung watch, but keep my phone, so I'm looking at SIM only then having watch on contract, Samsung 5 Pro watch comes with sim card ??? Do I need a sim only card ?? TIA

@Chubby2 What is due an upgrade the phone or watch ?

A watch has its own contract and you set this up via the wear app on the device. The watch has a eSim in it so it can connect to the EE network. The watch has its own data allowance but can uses your phone tariff call/text allowance.
You have to be a phone contract customer that can be a sim only contract if you’ve already got a phone.

Hi its my phone, my watch brought outright

I'm paying £37 a month but with what's going on , need to tighten the old purse strings

@Chubby2 You need a phone on contract to have a watch on contract.
you need to upgrade your phone contract to a sim only contract you could then take out a watch on contract. That watch has its own contract that comes with a data allowance. You setup the contract for it via the watch app on the device. This actives the eSim in the watch so it has a cellular connection.

The guy in the phone shop tried to sell me unlimited sim only for phone as he said the watch will use 80+ gb a month....

Then 125gb for watch contract
