@Abbiemariex You are doing this as a new customer? As you don’t have a contract/account/phone number with EE. Your device/contract/phone number is on who ever controls that account your device is on. Do forget that person needs to give notice to termination your current contract.

do you want to keep your current number? as you’ll need to move it to a different network on PAYG and then move it back to your now new account/contact that you’ve taken out with EE, You can not move a contract phone number between accounts.

your other option to retain your number is have the account holder call customer services and request a change of ownership of your number/contract. You’ll both need to be present and you’ll have to pass a credit check. You also will not be able to upgrade for 3 months.

The best option is to upgrade your current contract give it a few weeks to then request a change of ownership. Don’t forget you’ll loose the 10/20% discount you’ll get because your device is a 2nd line on an account
