Retaining discount early upgrade?

Hi,

I currently have 12 months left on my phone/sim contract.

My early upgrade fee is decent, around 400 or so..

The issue is one agent online states I won't retain my 30% F&F discount if i did an early upgrade and paid the fee.

The second agent I spoke to states I have nothing to worry about and it will be retained automatically if i did an early upgrade.

I've had the discount since 2019 from a family member in store.

Could someone advise?

The discount will need to be applied again meaning they your family member no longer works for EE this won't be able to be done.

If they still work for EE then this can be applied again but it won't automatically carry over.

Is this a new policy?

It’s something different to what the live chat advisor said & also what another thread states?

Hi @XLYC,

As long as the person who arranged the discount is still employed by BT/EE, and your new plan doesn't include any other discounts, your discount will carry over.
