Yes EE can do that, they can charge whatever they like it is down to you to accept it or move elsewhere.

I myself will be moving network once my wifes contract is up as I am on a sim only plan which ended in Feb 2022 but it cheaper (with my discount) and my wife is on a low GB a month tariff because I gift her 100GB every single month. We done this purposely to keep costs down. But as I buy my phones sim only I always go for sim only. My wife on other hand will only buy her phone from the networks.

EE is a premium brand I know that but their prices have rocketed up in the last couple months to which they think they can charge because they won some stupid award 9 years in a row. I'd vote on your feet and look elsewhere (network signal permitting) because EE is going to lose a lot of customers with their current prices. They also now cap your speeds depending on what plan you choose. So if you want the fastest speeds you have to pay a premium on top of that premium otherwise you are capped

I have received very short notification that my mobile phone plan has to change as EE (T-Mobile) no longer support 3G. I recently got back from a well deserved holiday and have been told that I have to go to the local EE shop (miles away) to discuss my options. Though I work from home it's difficult to get time out to do anything as we are so busy.

I tried calling and was told they can offer me less Data at over twice the price I am paying now. Surely EE can't do that?
