topic Upgrade in Contracts & Billing

Good Afternoon,

I joined EE on a SIM only plan on the basis of not getting a new phone right now. I informed the agent that I wanted to be plan which will allow me to upgrade to a new phone after 3 months, he informed me that I can upgrade after 3 months without a fee. When I'm looking at my account it states that I can upgrade after 6 months, was I miss informed? we had a phone chat and I'm sure it was recorded for training purposes, I have the date and time of our conversation too.

Can anyone shed some light on this, and what advice would you give me? As I was very clear when I joined EE that I'm wanting to upgrade after 3 months, the agent put me on a 24 month contract.

Appreciate your support.

Kind Regards

Mo

Hi @MoNav

Welcome to the community.

I've double checked the terms and conditions and it is definitely 6 months that you have to wait before upgrading to a phone contract, if you join us as a new customer with a SIM only plan.

If you have a dispute about the contract, I would definitely speak to our Mobile Care team on 150 so that they can investigate for you.

Please come back and let us know what happens.

Chris
