topic Leaving broadband - does it effect mobiles? in Contracts & Billing

my broadband cost has gone up and we have had some speed issues. BT knocked just now and offered a faster speed for half the price. As they own the cables they can maintain themselves so issues I think will be easier to sort out.

I have four mobiles with ee - will leaving broadband effect these contracts and their data at all? I have overnight lost 8 gb off my data so not happy about that at all and need to find out why, but I used gift data often to share my data with my kids, so don't want to leave broadband and then find my data is linked and I'll lose a chunk of it. I should have 100gb although in the past few days it somehow changed to 92.

Thanks for any help

Alice

Hi Alice,

What the BT person makes no sense, EE is part of the BT Group.

Often suppliers will have special offers, and your area may have recently upgraded to have full fibre available, if so EE can offer that too.

As for phone data, as an EE broadband customer, at least one of your phones should be getting an extra 5Gb per month, plus 10% discount on your broadband. More if you do move to full fibre.

Were it me, I would give the Broadband care team a call to see what they can offer, by all means mention what the BT rep said - you may be pleasantly surprised.

HTH
