My GG sim is supposedly arriving today so I could port out as soon as I'm home and then immediately order my new phone

"New" customer deals (via 3rd party)

Have been with EE for a fair while but don't remember ever having upgraded directly due to poor deals

I've now seen a far better offer through a third party, which allows me money off via a trade in and also a company perks code to get a further discount

I'm planning on porting out to GiffGaff and then back to EE.

My question is should I do this before ordering my new phone as a "new" customer or will it not matter? The 3rd party suggested it would effectively be an additional line as I have an account, though did consider using a different email (if that makes any difference?)

The earlier you port your existing no. out of EE before taking the new contract. the less you'll be paying for your existing contract.
