Charged for UK Texts?

I selected Shiply for finding a courier,when I selected one Shiply,which is a UK company, sent me a text to confirm booking.

When I checked my EE charges I had been charged for two USA texts?

It is a UK company.

The second charge was for forwarding the message to the seller in Bedford,in the UK, not the USA.

EE states it was a Australian number?

Shipley is just a marketplace for getting quotes, a bit like CheckaTrade or even Ebay. Your courier could come from anywhere.

'+1' is the International prefix for the US & N. America. Are you not aware that anything not starting '+44' is not the UK?

The company is Shiply,they are based in the UK.
I do not understand why a USA number has been used.
I have made a official complaint to the company.Waiting for a response.

Doesn't matter where Shipley is based. They are only an intermediary getting you quotes from couriers anywhere, 1 of which you employed to do your couriering you know not where. Didn't texting a non-'+44' no. raise a red flag with you?

@cwscoobyman2500 Doesn’t matter where they are based it’s the phone number that was use that has resulted in your being charged.
